How do I use preserved lemons?

I blame or thank preserved lemons for my obsession with fermenting. A few years ago I wanted to make a Morrocan chicken recipe that called for a new-to-me ingredient, preserved lemons. After purchasing a jar for a ridiculously high price I discovered that they can be made for a fraction of the cost. Preserved lemons do not bubble like my vegetable ferments but they also develop complex flavors over time. Their flavor is difficult to describe but they can be used wherever you would include zest of lemons. A little goes a long way. The following link is a gold mine for ways to enjoy these jewels.
